Messaging Privacy Policy
VoiceMetrix Corporation
Last updated: June 1, 2026
Scope
This policy describes how VoiceMetrix Corporation processes information through its SMS text messaging service for participating probation, pretrial services, and jury offices serving U.S. federal district courts.
This policy covers VoiceMetrix’s messaging service. It does not govern all court records or replace participating offices’ policies for their own records and activities.
Roles and Information Collection
Each participating office collects recipients’ mobile phone numbers and SMS consent, determines message content and recipients, and sends messages using VoiceMetrix’s service.
VoiceMetrix processes information supplied by participating offices and generated through operation of the service. Depending on the program and features used, this may include:
- Mobile phone numbers and recipient identifiers.
- Message content and replies.
- Message timestamps and delivery status.
- Consent status supplied by the participating office.
- Opt-out requests and messaging preferences.
- Technical records needed to operate and support the service.
How We Use Information
We process messaging information on behalf of participating offices to:
- Transmit authorized messages and process replies where supported.
- Manage messaging preferences and opt-out requests.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot delivery.
- Protect the service against misuse and unauthorized access.
- Maintain necessary operational records and meet applicable legal requirements.
We do not use court-program messaging information for unrelated advertising or marketing.
Information Sharing
Messaging information is available to the participating office administering the program and to authorized VoiceMetrix personnel as needed to operate and support the service.
We may provide information to messaging platform providers, telecommunications carriers, and other service providers as necessary to transmit messages and operate the service. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.
Mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared for third parties’ own marketing or unrelated purposes.
Consent to one participating office’s program does not authorize another office to send unrelated messages.
Your Messaging Choices
Reply STOP to the sending number to stop receiving messages from that messaging program. You may receive a final confirmation message.
Reply HELP for assistance, or contact VoiceMetrix at support@voicemetrix.com or (410) 795-7975.
For corrections to your phone number, questions about consent, or alternative communication arrangements, contact the participating office directly.
Opting out of SMS does not change court orders, supervision conditions, jury service requirements, or other legal obligations.
Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect messaging information. No electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure.
We retain information as needed to provide the service, honor messaging preferences, and meet applicable contractual, recordkeeping, and legal requirements.
Requests About Information
Contact VoiceMetrix with questions about information processed through its messaging service. Requests concerning court, probation, pretrial, or jury office records should be directed to the office maintaining those records.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy by publishing a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date.
