Program and Service Provider
VoiceMetrix Corporation provides SMS text messaging technology to participating probation, pretrial services, and jury offices serving U.S. federal district courts.
Each participating office administers its own messaging program, collects recipients’ consent, determines message content and recipients, and sends messages using VoiceMetrix’s service. VoiceMetrix provides the technology used to transmit those messages.
These terms apply to SMS text messages delivered through VoiceMetrix’s service for participating offices.
Consent and Message Types
By opting in through a participating office, you agree to receive text messages from that office concerning the program identified when you provide consent.
Depending on the office and program, messages may include:
- Probation or pretrial appointment reminders, reporting instructions, scheduling updates, and supervision-related communications.
- Jury service reminders, reporting instructions, scheduling changes, and service-related updates.
- Other administrative communications directly related to the program for which you provided consent.
Consent to one office’s program does not authorize unrelated messages from other offices or marketing messages.
Messages may be sent using automated technology. Message frequency varies by office, program, and your interactions with that office. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s plan.
Opting Out
Reply STOP to the sending number to stop receiving messages from that messaging program. You may receive a final confirmation message.
If you receive messages from multiple participating offices or numbers, contact the relevant office for assistance managing your preferences.
Opting out of text messages does not change court orders, supervision conditions, jury service requirements, or other legal obligations.
Help
Reply HELP to the sending number for assistance, or contact VoiceMetrix at support@voicemetrix.com or (410) 795-7975.
For corrections to your phone number, questions about consent, or questions about the content of messages, contact the participating office directly.
Message Delivery
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier, coverage, and device, and is not guaranteed. Text messages are a convenience and do not replace instructions or notices you receive from the participating office or the court.
Privacy
Information processed through the messaging service is handled as described in our Messaging Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date.
